Leadership Development Partner
Overarching Role of Leadership Development Partners - Leadership in Trust Schools
1. Support the effective implementation of the Trust School Programme.
2. Embed sustainable, transferrable, achievable and replicable education improvement practices.
3. Work with school leaders as a guide, mentor and coach to develop their understanding and knowledge of effective leadership of learning.
4. Support the school in achieving their annual KPT’s.

Key Responsibilities:
Building the capacity of School Leadership Teams:
1. Support Senior Leaders understanding of the Strategic goals of the Trust school programme and pathways to achieve these objectives.
2. Develop the school leaders’ understanding and subsequent implementation of the continuous school improvement and strategic planning process including self-evaluation and the development of the school improvement plan and monitoring systems to bring about change where it is most needed.
3. Support school leadership teams’ understanding of their roles as leaders of learning and promoting effective teaching and learning.
4. Support the professional development of the Senior Leadership Team through, professional discussion, joint planning and monitoring activities, daily modelling and coaching and facilitation and subsequent embedding of the LeadED programme.
5. Support the development of Distributed Leadership in the schools.
6. Support senior leaders in achieving their Performance Management Targets and the Professional Standards for School Principals/Headmasters.
7. Support school leaders in collecting robust and valid school improvement data.
8. Support the TLA-Curriculum with the delivery of regular professional development training.
9. Support the sustainability of all Trust school initiates and programmes.

Monitoring the effective implementation of the Trust School Transformation programme:
1. Report to Head Office on school key milestones and document the process of implementing the Transformation Programme Strategy and evaluate its effectiveness.

Other Responsibilities
1. Promote and adhere to the Company’s Vision and Values at all times.
2. Establish and maintain supportive relationships with school leaders, teachers and the community.
3. Any other appropriate duties as allocated by the Management.
4. Acquire relevant knowledge of the local culture and customs and observe culturally sensitive and appropriate behaviour, dress and language at all times.
5. Meet their statutory responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and other relevant legislation, and should conform to the professional and ethical requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and experience required:
• Bachelor's Degree with a recognized teaching qualification.
• Experience of working within the education sector for a minimum of 10 years, at least 5 years’ Primary School teaching experience.
• Leadership experience (Head of Department/Panel Head or other school leadership position).
• Experience of School Improvement Planning and Execution.
• Advisory teaching experience in a school transformation/improvement project is desirable but not essential.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Excellent understanding of the core pedagogies promoted through the Trust School TeachSmart programme. These are:

• Self-disciplined with a strong work ethic and ability to operate with minimal supervision.
• Competent and independent user of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent organisation skills.
Selection
• Shortlisted applicants will have to complete a detailed questionnaire and submit letters of reference. They could also be required to present a lesson to in order to be assessed against the identified Trust School Teacher Competencies.
• Successful candidates will have to achieve at least 68/80 as judged against the Lesson Observation Rubric.
• Candidates will also be interviewed by a panel and appointments will be made based on merit and a proven track record of outstanding teaching.
