Online applications are invited by using the website www.odishassc.in for selection of candidates through recruitment examination for 122 vacancies in the post of traffic constable (OMVD) under the commerce and transport (transport) department Odisha (post Code – 87/TC (OMVD), initially on contractual basis, as per ‘the odisha group ‘C’ and group ‘D” posts (contractual Appointment) rules, 2013, notified vide G.A. Deptt. Notification No. GAD – SC – Rules- 0009 – 2013 – 32010/ Gen dated 12.11.2013, carrying pay in the Pay Band – 2 Rs. 5200 to Rs. 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/-.

Age Limit:- A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 32 years as on 01.01.2014; provided that the upper age limit in respect of SC, ST, SEBC and women candidates shall be relaxed by 5 years and the qualifying years of service rendered in Defense services in case of ex – servicemen as per the acts, rules, orders and instructions in force.
Qualification:- the candidates must have passed at least 12^th examination or equivalent conducted by any recognized board / university / institution.
Selection Procedure:- the combined merit list shall be prepared basing on the aggregate of marks secured on the written examination and carrier evaluation. The candidates shall be selected in order of merit category – wise equal to the number of vacancies advertised.
Application Fee:- the candidates other than SC and ST category are required to deposit non refundable and non adjustable examination fee of Rs. 100/-. The fees can be deposited either through online mode using odisha treasury portal or offline by the conventional mode of deposit in the treasury.
